QuizAce ("we", "our", "us") operates the website quizace.ai and the QuizAce Chrome extension. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (or Google account information if you sign in with Google).

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use our service, including the number of questions solved, the platforms used (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle), and timestamps of activity.

Quiz Content: When you use QuizAce to solve questions, the question text and answer options are sent to our servers for AI processing. We store this data to provide the service and improve accuracy.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. We only store your Stripe customer ID for subscription management.

Technical Data: We may collect browser type, device information, and IP address for security and debugging purposes.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. API keys are generated uniquely per user and can be regenerated at any time.

5. Chrome Extension Permissions

The QuizAce Chrome extension requires certain browser permissions to function:

  • Active Tab: To read quiz content on the current page
  • Storage: To save your API key and preferences locally
  • Host Permissions: To interact with supported quiz platforms

The extension only activates when you trigger it via the keyboard shortcut. It does not run in the background or collect data without your action.

6. Third-Party Services

  • OpenAI: Quiz questions are processed using OpenAI's API. OpenAI's data usage policies apply to this processing.
  • Stripe: Handles payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Supabase: Provides authentication and database services.
  • Google: If you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to the authentication process.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage history is retained for analytics and support purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:

9. Children's Privacy

QuizAce is intended for use by students aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
